During this AAU Micro course, you will explore state-of-the-art theories and techniques in a formalized manner, while walking through real-world examples of how we have previously used these methods in our own projects and research.
By completing the course, you will gain the AAU Micro badge: Scientific Background Analysis
This course is fully online, and can be completed individually. The course consists of exercises, instructional videos as well as a number of slides, along with links to relevant external resources.
This course will teach you how to:
Structure a scientific paper and how the background plays a key role in all other aspects of the paper
Conduct and structure your background research in a systematic manner
Compare papers and synthesize the literature into new knowledge and identify research gaps
Write a precise and critical background section
Improve your written English for scientific publications
The course consists of 5 modules, followed by an exam.
The course will take approximately 6 hours to complete.
