What is the course format?
This course features a collection of educational videos that explores various facets of Generative AI in education. Alongside these videos, you'll find quizzes to assess your understanding and practical tools to integrate Generative AI into your teaching. Additionally, there will be a shared space for discussions, reflections, and knowledge sharing.
The course consists of six modules:
- What is AI and how does it work?
The course starts with a thorough introduction to what AI is and how it works, so you can gain a deeper understanding of the underlying technology. Explore the fundamental concepts and mechanics behind generative artificial intelligence, including how generative AI processes and learns from data.
Presented by: Andreas Møgelmose with contributions from Thomas B. Moeslund & Thomas Ploug
- How can I use generative AI?
Discover practical applications of generative AI in various domains and learn how to effectively integrate generative AI tools into teaching in a meaningful and effective way.
Presented by: Andreas Møgelmose with contributions from Kristine Bundgaard & Jes Lynning Harfeld
- Generative AI in a learning perspective
We explore how learning processes through the lens of generative AI and what pedagogical opportunities and challenges the technology brings.
Presented by: Antonia Scholkmann with contributions from Kristine Bundgaard & Jes Lynning Harfeld
- How to design learning activities
Through hands-on exercises and examples, you will learn how to design learning activities that harness the potential of AI and how you can create teaching practices around it that engage and motivate students.
Presented by: Andreas Møgelmose & Antonia Scholkmann with contributions from Kristine Bundgaard and Mads Vestergaard Karkov Holst
- How to talk to your students about generative AI
You will be equipped to talk to your students about generative AI, what the technology can do, and the ethical considerations associated with it. This module gives you strategies to answer questions and discuss the role of generative AI.
Presented by: Andreas Møgelmose with contributions from Stine Ejsing-Duun, Sine Zambach and Anders Skytte
- Assessment & Exams
Understand the implications of generative AI in exam situations, including challenges and strategies for integrating generative AI into assessments effectively.
Presented by: Antonia Scholkmann with contributions from Euan Lindsay
What is the workload of this course?
The course consists of 6 modules. The course will take between 14 hours and 26 hours in total to complete, with an estimated time of 2-5 hours per module, depending on how much time you spent on engaging with the material, your peers and planning of potential interventions with generative AI in your teaching practice.
